The "Cha Cha Slide" hitmaker died at age 58. The star – born Willie Perry Jr – sadly lost his battle with renal and neuroendocrine cancer on 7 August. His death was confirmed to Chicago TV station ABC7 on 8 August by his wife Kim, who announced that he passed with his loved ones around him.
Previously, the musician – who was the man behind the iconic party hit – spoke to the station about his diagnosis, saying: "If you know me, you know I'm not going to stop," he said. "I'm going to continue to go. I'm going to continue to go until I can't go."
