American Horror Story: If ANY of These Apocalypse Theories Come True, the Finale Is Going to Be Insane

This theory doesn't really effect the finale of Apocalypse, but it does concern the fate of the current Supreme. Throughout the season Cordelia's health has been waning in a way that everyone read as her body making way for the next Supreme. However, as these Twitter users point out, Cordelia is obviously still quite powerful. If she were really powering down to make way for the next leader, it would be a bit more taxing than what we've seen. So what's the alternative? According to Reddit user blitzedginger, Cordelia could be finally getting her wish for a baby!

Coven fans will remember that the witch struggled with fertility during season three and it's obvious that her lack of biological children have led to the strong maternal nature of her leadership as Supreme. Cordelia's "condition" could be her body working overtime to take care of another powerful Goode witch. Considering the troubles she encountered trying to get pregnant, it would make sense that being with child would take a serious toll on her body. If this theory holds true, Cordelia would likely see the the other side of the Apocalypse!

You remember who those two are, right? They were around for the first couple of episodes before unceremoniously dying by poison apples. Emily and Timothy were taken to Outpost Three because they apparently had the "perfect" genetics. We never get into what that means or why their perfection is needed before they die. But in the event that we get to see them again, this particular theory explains why their origins are so important. Reddit user AlfieBoheme theorizes that the two are actually the descendents of Kit Walker from Asylum.

Now bear with us here. Since there are obvious physical similarities between the babies and the two in the Outpost, this could be feasible. As redditor rwhyman1 clarifies, Emily and Timothy don't have to be the actual babies, but they could be clones of Kit's children that the aliens send down with each generation to learn more about the human race. The theory gets its legs from the fact that Asylum's aliens are shown to communicate through electronic interference with radio and TVs. AlfieBoheme presumes that the aliens have been watching over their experiments through time and the songs played on the radio in Outpost Three are actually them communicating with Emily and Timothy that they're going to be rescued soon. This actually checks out pretty well since the first song is about interplanetary messages and the other is literally about being rescued.

The only reason to side eye this theory (because as far out as it seems, it's not that far out for AHS) is the incest. That's a little too Game of Thrones for our liking!

While it's pretty obvious from the "Return to Murder House" episode that the Harmon and Langdon ghosts won't be making friendship bracelets with Michael anytime soon, there's something to be said about the allure of freedom. Who knows what the ghosts would do if Michael promised them the sweet release from the house they've been trapped in for eternity? After all, we saw how Moira yearned to be at peace — why wouldn't the others jump at the chance to get that kind of happiness? Helping Michael wouldn't be that big a price to pay since they're all dead anyway. The apocalypse wouldn't have any effect on them.

We've discussed in many ways how Mallory is obviously meant to be a powerful folly against Michael. While we don't know exactly what the source of her abilities are — whether she's the angelic foil or the second coming of Christ — we do know that she will play a huge part in however this story ends.

A popular theory about how that will come to be involves Mallory's power of reversing time. As we witnessed in episode five, "Boy Wonder," Mallory is able to resurrect and reverse the ageing process of a fallen doe. The theory is that using this power, the Coven will go back in time and prevent Michael from either being conceived or being born. While this seems like a tidy fix, it begs the question of how exactly they would prevent his birth, what would happen to the Harmons and Murder House, and — most importantly — would that actually prevent the apocalypse from ever happening?

There's been a lot of talk about the Supreme this season, as well as a lot of assumptions about who the next one will be. Though Cordelia currently reigns as "the f*cking Supreme" her troubling health leads everyone to believe another is rapidly rising to power. Some believe the next top dog is meant to be Michael, as the Alpha, or Mallory as the Supreme. However, one theory wonders if there isn't another meant to take the position: Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt.

Reddit user agoodleatherjacket theorizes that Coco's abilities seem to be growing with every episode, similar to Mallory's. While her powers aren't on par with resurrections or literally sticking fingers down someone's throat, they are high-key impressive for witches on the defencive. It's obvious that she's developing powers that allow her to sense danger and as agoodleatherjacket notes, this could grown into telling "people's vital weaknesses or cause things to explode on a molecular level." The growth of her abilities comes from "knowing what's in something to knowing how much energy is in it so it actually does sort of follow that she may gain the ability to actually manipulate things and maybe even people."

That sounds like it could be a powerful ability! And since Coco is a witch, she's already able to do the basic spellwork that other witches are able to. With such a unique gift, she could definitely be powerful enough to reign Supreme one day.

This is going to be a doozy, but there's definitely some merit to it. What if all this hype over Michael has been a bit of false advertising getting ahead of itself? Reddit user Majian18 theorizes that while Michael is definitely the child of Vivien Harmon (who may come from a long line of witches and have latent abilities) and Tate Landgon, that only makes him stronger than other warlocks, not the Antichrist. The real Antichrist is the one and only Timothy.

There are a lot of factors that the theory takes into consideration but basically it comes down to this: Michael is the red herring that will eventually be taken down by Mallory. Emily and Timothy are both candidates to be the Antichrist (which is what makes their DNA so special), but as Timothy is the one who hears voices and sees the "666" in the mirror he's likely the real Satanic jackpot. Thus, once the witches put down Michael and seemingly put an end to all the chaos, they'll revive everyone who perished in Outpost Three believing them to be innocent. When Timothy comes returns, he'll realise his identity as the true Antichrist and sh*t will, once again, hit the fan.

This theory is pretty far-fetched but also it feels so right! This would be SO fun and I kind of hope it comes true.

This theory is one that I've personally thought about because the reunion of the Coven just felt too damn easy. Michael is young and oftentimes too arrogant for his own good, so he could have definitely played into the witches' hands by rescuing Madison (Emma Roberts), Misty (Lily Rabe), and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) from their personal hells and the Hotel Cortez respectively. But what if he created his own little failsafe? As one fan put it, what if he simply "collected their souls" and can control them the same way he controls Meade? Obviously Meade is a robot and the witches aren't, but with possession of their souls Michael could make them do whatever he wants. It would be painful to see our favourites cross over to the dark side, but it would also be so wonderfully delicious!

With only two episode left of the season, it's not wild to believe that Apocalypse won't end with the standard 10 episodes. We've spent so many episodes getting the backstory behind how we got to the Apocalypse and we've barely actually explored it! Really this isn't even a theory, it's more of a plea. The series was renewed for season nine before the eighth premiered so they could have definitely planned to expand the story beyond one season. Hopefully. There's no way Murphy will be able to wrap up such an intricate story in two episodes! Give the people what they want and close this out with another, fully fleshed out season. I'm practically begging here.
