Bündchen and Brady first met in 2007 through mutual friends, according to USA Today, and were married in 2009. They share two children, 10-year-old Vivian and 13-year-old Benjamin, in addition to Brady's 15-year-old son from a previous relationship, Jack.
Rumours about marital difficulties had been swirling for a while, especially after Brady un-retired and returned to football in March. The couple officially announced their separation on Oct. 28. Brady shared the news on his Instagram page, writing, "In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the centre of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve."
Bündchen also shared a post about the breakup. "The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," she wrote. "I kindly ask that our privacy be respected during this sensitive time."
Since the split, Bündchen was spotted with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, per Page Six, though their relationship hasn't been confirmed, and friends of Bündchen reportedly denied rumours of a romance.
