The Davines A Single Shampoo (£19) is a delicate formula that the brand promises is gentle-yet-effective enough to be used on all hair types. It also promises that this is a completely carbon neutral product with a formula that contains 95-percent natural-origin ingredients (based on the new restrictive definitions of how a product should considered natural that the brand developed and is holding itself to).
More on the formula: it contains 100-percent natural added preservatives, features a 100-percent natural fragrance made from essential oils, and every single ingredient is traceable to the country of origin. As for the packaging? The fully recyclable plastic bottle is made from renewable vegetable sources (sugar cane from South Brazil to be exact), and was designed so that not only could you empty out every last drop, but it would also take up less space during the shipping process to allow for more bottles to be transported at a time. Finally, the brand promises that the CO2 emissions "generated through the life cycle of A Single Shampoo are 100 percent compensated through proprietary reforestation projects supported entirely by Davines," the brand states via press release.
