The Soap & Glory Best Washes Uplifting Body Wash (£6.50) is a foaming shower gel that the brand promises will do more than leave you feeling fresh and clean — it may also help boost your mood. The bath-and-body brand partnered with fragrance company Givaudan to create a scent that would leave people feeling happy and uplifted. The brand's Uplift scent combines sweet, fruity, and citrusy notes — including grapefruit, bergamot, rhubarb, red fruits, peony, rose, raspberry, and vanilla — and was tested by Givaudan measuring alpha-wave activity and monitoring people's physiological response to the scent. Whilst we can't monitor brain activity in our flats, what we can tell you is that the body wash, which smells a bit like sugary pink lemonade, does make you want to stay in the shower a bit longer, and leaves you feeling brighter and refreshed long after you've towelled off.
