Where they met: "Law and Order: SVU"
Fans of "Law and Order: SVU" have notably shipped Mariska Hargitay with many of her costars (ahem, Christopher Meloni), so it is nothing short of a coincidence that the actor met her husband, Peter Hermann, on the set of the long-running show. The two connected when Hermann starred as a guest in season three of "Law and Order: SVU" in 2001, and started dating shortly after.
Hargitay later revealed in an interview on "The Drew Barrymore Show" that she was immediately drawn to Hermann, and initially thought, "Who is that Clark Gable Superman guy that I need to marry today?" upon seeing him. The couple tied the knot in August 2004 and had a son, August, in June 2006. In addition to their son, Hargitay and Hermann adopted two children, Amaya and Andrew, in April and October 2011, respectively.
