Mac and Dee have their own romantic conquests on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," but the actors that portray them, Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson, are a couple in real life that met when Olson auditioned for the comedy show in 2004, as reported by Brides. It wasn't necessarily love at first sight for Olson, but as the two started working together, she started to fall for him, later revealing on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast (via People), "He was just so easily in charge…He really just has a vision and he's just a wonderful boss and he's a collaborator."
McElhenney and Olson started dating during season two of "It's Always Sunny" in 2006 but didn't tell their costars of their newfound romance until months later. By 2007, the couple were engaged, and in September 2008, they got married. The two share two children together, Axel (born 2010) and Leo (born 2012).
