Where they met: "Orange Is the New Black"
Couples that meet on set are usually actors, but Lauren Morelli and Samira Wiley came from different professions. The pair met in 2012 on the set of Netflix's "Orange is the New Black," as Morelli was a lead writer for the show, and Wiley a central character, aka Poussey Washington. At the time, Morelli was married, but later revealed to Out Magazine in 2016 that she had an immediate crush on the actor after seeing her audition tape.
In 2014, Morelli filed for divorce and started dating Wiley that same year, per Insider. By 2016, the couple were engaged, and got married in March 2017, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. In April 2021, Morelli and Wiley welcomed their daughter, George Elizabeth, into the world, with Wiley writing on Instagram, "Welcome to the world, babygirl. We love you and we thank you for giving us the best 1st Mother's Day two ladies could ask for."
